Do I Need to Close my Savings Product After Withdrawal?

What happens to my savings product after I withdraw my funds?

Updated over a month ago

What Happens to My Savings Account After Withdrawal?

Once you've withdrawn the full balance from a savings product the account is automatically considered inactive.

The account will still be visible in your Prosper app for your records, but it can no longer be used to make new deposits or receive interest.

Can I Close or Remove the Account from View?

At this time, we don’t offer the ability to close or hide savings accounts in the app.

However, we understand that having old or empty accounts listed can clutter your dashboard. The good news is: we’re actively working on a feature that will allow you to hide inactive products — making your app experience cleaner and easier to navigate.

Will I Still Earn Interest After Withdrawal is Complete?

No — once you've withdrawn the full balance from your account, it stops earning interest and is treated as closed.
